The instrument spans 1960–2076 while preserving unpublished historical source years as unavailable. It does not substitute another geography, infer zero, or introduce improved survival mathematics.
Scientific boundaryDirect official baseline and migration variants, the cohort benchmark, and the fertility-recovery scenario retain distinct result classes. France is a control experiment for model residuals, not a recalibrated model.
